Creative Writing

Have you ever wanted to write a story, but don’t know where to begin? Are you suffering from writer’s block? Join author James Nevius for an exploration of how to get from an idea to a full story. Topics will include plot outlining, character development, themes and settings, and the nitty gritty of choosing the right word to express the right idea. We’ll be editing and writing in class, so bring pens, paper, and a creative mind.
James Nevius is the author of Frommer’s 24 Great Walks in New York and Inside the Apple. His novel, Who Killed Boss Tweed? is forthcoming.
